D5: Designing Digital Learning Experiences & Environments

DAY 5 - Tonight we started off asynchronously to explore the TPACK model and brainstorm project ideas, then met up later on using Connect Pro web conferencing. From my end, the technology seemed to run fairly smoothly. Jenni had a little issue towards the end, which seemed to get resolved, but other than that I didn't see or hear any complaints. I'll attach the archive at some point so that you can see how a taped recording can be saved and used for future reference.

Re you project proposals, I enjoyed hearing about the range of ideas from using Web 2.0 tools - augmented reality; screencasts for personal storytelling; a site for structuring an electronic jigsaw activity; flipped instruction for individualized math learning in a SPED setting; creating a classroom blog for reading and writing with elementary students, and using Twitter to encourage students to write. I look forward to seeing how these ideas develop as you continue to work on them over the next week and a half, and hope that some of you will be able to bring your idea forward and actually implement them in your student teaching next year.

  1. That was a fun experience. I have been a part of a similar activity in a professional setting. This format was far more effective!

    2. I agree with you Ron, I think it was a fun and interesting experience. What I took away from this experience was that, in order for the sessions to be effective the sessions need to have purpose and a clear goal. I appreciated the discussions and clarification on how to maintain and organize the different tools that we have been using (Gracias Jenny).
