D4: Working with Images Online

THIS IS ELIZABETH GOING CRAZY....

So today was an interesting session to say the least. When I think back to previous classes, there have always been those moments of frustration when the technology wont cooperate, things get changed [Google for instance is notorious for suddenly deciding to 'retire' tools just as you start getting used to them], or all the options just get too overwhelming.

Day 4: Creating, Publishing & Using Images took things to another level of angst, and lucky Elizabeth - as the presenter for today's topic - got to bear the brunt of it all. In her zealousness to do her topic justice, she downloaded Picasa onto her computer, spent several hours trying to make sense of it all only to meet obstacles at every turn. Lesson learned? Work with Picasa on the web. The features may not be as sophisticated as the desktop download but as we finally figured out in class, it works well enough for our work in the classroom.
